We have created several media room packages with your budget in mind. These are home theater packages that are affordable and elegant, with complete in-wall speakers and top-of-the-line name-brand home theater components from manufactureres like Pioneer, Proficient, and Sony. The result is a home theater system you and your family will love and love to show off to your neighbors and friends.
Tthe most important component of your home theater is the home theater projector, which will account for about 25% of your budget in many cases. There are basically two types of home theater projectors: LCD, and DLP. The LCD, or Liquid Crystal Display projector works by passing a powerful light source through a transparent LCD chip made up of individual pixels which then displays the moving video image through the lens to the screen. A DLP, or digital light processing projector, also displays the image on a chip in which every pixel is a reflective mirror. Each of these "micro-mirrors" then tilt very rapidly as the image changes.
Advantages of the DLP projector include excellent color accuracy, compactness, low power consumption, and high contrast and brightness. Although typically not as bright as LCD types, DLP projectors are usually much smoother looking with softer edges. DLP projectors are by far the most popular and most cost-effective choice for a home theater. All of our theater packages include full 1080p resolution projectors. For an added experience, you can upgrade to one of our 3D Projectors or add a wide-screen anamorphic lens for a true movie theater picture experience.
The projector screen an another important element in any theater. The format, size, gain, style, material, and operation all have to be considered. Most new HDTV movies are all in the 16:9 format, but there are many great movies that are filmed in Cinemascope, such as Lord of the Rings and King Arthur. When viewing these movies on a16:9 screen, there will be black bars on the top and bottom.
All reflective surfaces, including projection screens have a “gain.” Gain is a measurement of the reflectivity of a surface. A gain of 1.0 indicates that the same light that is projected toward the screen will be reflected back to the audience. If a screen has a higher gain, such as 1.5, more light is reflected back than the light being projected, and if the gain is less, such as 0.8, only 80% of the light will be reflected back.
Home Theaters today must be able to accomodate every type of component input imaginable, so the Home Theater Receiver is another important peice. You'll definitely want a BluRay DVD player. You'll also want to watch TV in your home theater, so you'll have a cable or satellite receiver. You will also want to probably have streming capabilities, incorporating components like Google TV or Apple TV. So, your receiver for home theater room or media room must have enough inputs for all your components and also be able to upconvert these input signals out through one single HDMI connector.
Of course, an AV Receiver is more than just an integrated control center. It must have the power to amplify your speakers and magically transport you through time and space and completely immerse your into your movie. We can install a 5.1 Surround Sound System for your home theater or for a better experience we can install a 7.1, 7.2 or even a 9.2 speaker system, with additional front-wide or front-high theater speakers.
Your home theater isn't complete without the speaker system. Whether you want a simple 5.1 surround system, a 7.1 system, or a more complex 9.2 channel system with front-high and front-wide speakers, Premier Audio & Video has you covered. One of the more recent changes in home theaters, is the move toward a complete in-wall speaker look. When you want the sound quality of big box speakers but prefer a clean and un-cluttered look, flush mount speakers are the perfect solution. Choose from in-ceiling, in-wall surround speakers and even in-wall subwoofers. Our broad range of high-quality built-in loudspeakers deliver superb sound from in-wall and in-ceiling installations
Of course, for high output and life-like dynamic range nothing beats floor-standing speakers. You can choose from among many different brands and price ranges to find the balanceof sound and budget that you're looking for.
Our home theater systems range from a modest home theater with a budget of around $5000 installed to a "sky is the limit" scenario on both level of equipment and custom craftsmanship, designing a home theater room any way you can dream of. Even for a fairly modest budget you can easily exceed anything you will see and hear in a Movie Theater without the crowd and people texting during your movie.
There are many parts to your theater, from the projector, to the screen, the receiver, the remote and the speakers. To really make the room special things like curtains (motorized or aesthetic), custom columns with sconces, murals, fiber optic ceilings with stars and theater seating are some of the things you can do given your budget. Anything is possible in a media room and anything is possible with Premier Audio & Video.
