The System Design

The Facility: The Texas Star Golf Course and Conference Centre is a vibrant part of Euless, Texas, and is well-known for world class golf.

The Texas Star Conference Centre, with 7,000 square feet of divisible space, can accommodate a party of 320 people or can be divided into smaller rooms to provide the perfect setting for intimate dinners. The rooms host meetings, parties, special events and business functions, they are completely customizable, and are enhanced by a wall of glass doors that overlook a winding creek and the 18th green of their award-winning championship golf course.

The Challenge: The project called for a complete overhaul of an outdated and malfunctioning audio system. It also called for upgrading the video system and adding an automation solution for control to upgrade the entire system to current industry standards.

This allows the facility to be a premier location for conferences, weddings and events.

Our Solution: First and foremost, the previous audio system was receiving radio interference from nearby towers, rendering the entire system useless during events. We installed completely new, shielded 16 gauge/2-conductor speaker cabling to block the radio interference. We also converted the entire audio system from an 8ohm stereo system to an appropriate 70v commercial-grade audio system, with all new 70v commercial audio amplifiers, mixers, and modular inputs.

We also installed new Cat5e cabling to carry full 1080p video signal to the new upgraded HD video projectors. We installed a brand new AV rack to house all the audio equipment, the bluray DVD players, the AV video matrix system, and wireless microphones. In addition, we installed in-wall iPod docks and in-wall keypads for control.
