Renegade Cigars - Richardson, TX

The System Design

The Facility: Renegade is a cigar retailer and lounge, located on the southwest corner of Jupiter Rd and George Bush Fwy in Richardson, Texas.

They offer a huge selection of name-brand cigars, a private locker room, two outdoor patios, 55" flat screen hi-definition TVs, a fireplace, leather sofas, hardwood floors, as well as a large semi-private conference table.

The Challenge: Right in the middle of the store sits their 250sqft humidor, which houses all of their inventory.

This was their biggest concern, being able to keep an eye on thier product both during the day as well as after hours.

Our Solution: We prewired and installed four indoor cctv bullet cameras inside the humidor itself, mouting a camera into each corner. This gives a great view of the entire room and their cigar inventory.

We also installed two additional indoor bullet cameras over the registers, to give a wide-angle view of the POS transactions.

The DVR is built inside the TV monitor itself, which is great because it keeps it our of anyone's reach. We mounted a 23" LCD monitor with the built-in dvr on the wall just above the entrace to the humidor room.

This gives everybody the ability to see that the room is being monitored and keeps everyone honest.

We also set up the DVR on the internal network so that the customer can log into it from their home computer or access the camera feeds from their iPhone.
