- About Us
The Facility: Pilar Funeral Home is a family-owned and operated full service funeral home, located in a brand new and very modern 5,000 sq. ft. facility.
Their chapel is used for funeral services and/or visitations, and comfortably seats about 150 people. Families also have access to a small private state room, as well as a small kitchen for convenience.
The Challenge: This project called for a video projector system in the main chapel, to be able to show slide-shows or DVD's during the funeral services, as well as additional TV video capabilities in the kitchen.
They also needed an easy to use, audio system that could provide sound in the main chapel, the waiting area, the offices, the kitchen, and the small private state room.
Our Solution: In the main chapel we installed a Mitsubishi in-ceiling 1080p commercial projector with 3k lumens (or brightness). This projector was then wired back to an audio/video cabinet at the rear of the chapel that houses a Samsung DVD player that is used for slide-shows or movies during the services.
The audio system for the main chapel consists of a Bogen wireless microphone system, a Sherwood multidisc CD player, as well as the audio from the DVD player, both feeding into a Sherwood receiver. This receiver feeds (8) eight Proficient 6.5" in-ceiling speakers and (4) four Proficient 6.5" in-wall speakers. This gives them the ability to play CD's, DVD audio, or radio, as well as microphone audio throughout the chapel.
A second Sherwood receiver was also installed, which allows them to play audio from the same CD player, DVD player or radio throughout the rest of the facility where we installed an additional (10) ten Proficient 6.5" in-ceiling speakers.
The small private state room has its own audio system located at the rear of the room, including an additional Sherwood multidisc CD player and Sherwood stereo receiver. This receiver feeds (6) six Proficient 6.5" in-ceiling speakers.
